A great place to visit . . .
Cherryvale is a great town with a museum that tells the history of the area.
Cherryvale is known for the birthplace of Louise Brooks (silent screen
actress), Vivian Vance (Lucille Ball's sidekick), and of Frank Bellamy (author
of the Pledge of Allegiance). The museum also has the original hammers
from the "Bloody Benders" - the first serial killers in the U.S. Checkout our

A great place for longer stays . . .
Our kitchen suites, cabins, and 3 bedroom house have full kitchens with
full-size appliances, not "kitchenettes". In addition to discounts for weekly
stays, you can have FREE use (including detergent!) of our on-site laundry
facility which has three new Kenmore high capacity washer/dryer units.
The Lodge is located just across the street from Cherryvale's Logan Park. The
park covers 4 blocks and has a swimming pool, gazebo, picnic tables, large
meeting room with kitchen, and plenty of playground equipment. The park's
meeting room rents for $30 plus $20 deposit and may be rented up to a year in
advance by calling the City at (620) 336-2776. Booking all seven units would
cost about $480 and would sleep 42 people at just $10 each!
A great place for fishermen . . .
The Lodge is located just 4 miles West of Big Hill Lake, one of Kansas' clearest
and best fishing lakes. Principal sport fish caught include largemouth bass,
crappie, channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, walleye, and smallmouth
bass. The lake also offers plenty of boating, sightseeing, horseback riding,
camping, picnicking, trails, and swimming on the sand beach. There are several
tournaments throughout the year. We are also just 30 minutes East of Elk City
Lake and a little more than an hour North of Grand Lake in Oklahoma. We've
equipped the Lodge with two external outlets that you may use to charge your

A great place for hunters . . .
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks owns and manages 1,350 acres of
land for public hunting within 1/2 mile of Big Hill Lake. Hunters from all over the
United States travel to the area during deer season to attempt bagging a trophy
white-tail deer. Be sure to checkout Todd's 10 point buck mounted above the
fireplace in the House! Bobwhite quail, migratory waterfowl, mourning dove,
squirrel, gray fox, and rabbit are also abundant. If you are interested in hunting
